The migration from a cottage to Fairhaven (mid care or frail care) depends on availability, urgency and medical/physical condition. A single bedsitter cannot always be guaranteed and shared accommodation might be the only option, however, management will always liaise with the residents and family before any migration/move to alternative accommodation takes place.
Provision has been made to accommodate residents after operations for a period of time or at times after an emergency incidence i.e. falls. There is a daily rate applicable which can be obtained from reception. This daily rate includes nursing and meals. Once again, special equipment cannot be provided and must be purchased by the resident him/herself, especially if the recovery requires a long term stai in Fairhaven/frail care.
